TAILSTOCK CAM LOCK different problem solving approach

    Hi guys,

I recently obtained used lathe for my garage workshop in Zagreb. This one is little bit sturdier than G0602 type. And first modification to this lathe is installation of cam lock to tailstock. It was practically impossible to do the same job as on previous one, so I decided to install it from the back of tailstock.

I only needed to make 4 parts.

    Materials used:

ss 316 round bar 45 mm dia. (outer cylinder)
ss 316 round bar 26 mm dia. (piston)
ss 316 round bar 24 mm dia. turned down to 15 mm and 12.5 mm at cam. hex 19 mm for the wrench.
    ss 304 flat bar 60 x 10 mm

    2 allen screws M6 x 20 mm
1 external retaining ring 15 mm

It was very simple job and no drawings were prepared for it.

    Hope this will be helpful.

    Cheers
