Tapping Stand

Hi
I just finished my Tapping Stand
Its built from the plans in Harold Halls book " MODEL ENGINEERS WORKSHOP PROJECTS "
book 39 in the workshop practice series
Its a nicely thought out design but then thats true of all of Harolds designs

What is clever with this design is each tap has a corresponding feed screw mechanism
which automatically feeds the tap downwards at the corect speed to match the pitch
of the thread

I am pleased how it came out

How did that work out using epoxy on the head piece? What epoxy did you use?
I was thinking about making the groves deeper, then using screws to hold it together.

I didnt like the idea of using glue so instead of making it out of three pieces I made it from one piece of steel about 150x70x20 which was in my odds and sods box and just milled out the middle to give me the same look as Harolds
