This cable set up was installed all wrong which caused a premature failure drawing a loaded cable over a sharp edge is always a bad idea. there should have at least been thimbles installed in those loops. the holes on the plate are in the wrong plane but the thimbles would have compensated for some of that. the clamps obviously held but had there been thimbles in the loops than the clamps would have slipped of would have been the breakage point. there is an old saying in the rigging industry/ You never saddle a dead horse. meaning the saddle of the clamps must be on the load side not the tail. Note the inconsistency in how the clamps are installed. Had everything been properly set up the cable would have most likely failed at the point of contact with the hook.

Internet videos are not about doing it right, just make a video to get clicks.

So this is actually a test of the cutting performance of the hole.

At least they didn't drop another truck...
