I could understand a repair like this if it as used on a construction site or perhaps a mine. As long as it was not for highway use I don't see a problem. I assume this process is a balance between the cost of a replacement tire and the man hours to do the repair. The tire still needs to be mounted, so this must be a huge cost savings..
