Waiting at a mine site to unload and the tyre fitter started to repair/change the tyres on a CAT 11 grader.,
He changed the first tyre and then fitted the air hose to inflate the tyre whilst he went on his merry way repairing another tyre.
He just plugged in the air lead and turned on the air compressor, so this compressor was chattering away for about half an hour.
I was just sitting in the drivers seat with the door open when this almighty explosion occurred next to me, then this bloody big cloud of dust started to spread out all over the truck.
Me, I was out that door that fast and running in mid air, must of touched the ground about twenty foot away from the truck and just kept going.
Stopped about 100 ft away and all the workshop staff were laughing their heads off, not at the tyre fitters boo-boo, but me exiting that truck so damned fast.

Then the question of what steps did I take in that emergency, ---- " effin big ones and long ways away ". :-)
