    I just had to know what a "hose catch prevention tool" was.

    It needs to have a handle that can be reached without bending over. As it is, it is easier to just free a caught hose than to bend over to insert that tool under a tire. And the hose would probably just push it aside and catch anyway.

    Too much of a gismo that is not well thought out.

    Once these are wedged in they don't move.
    Is it really that hard to bend over a little?

    When I worked in an auto repair shop years ago we used old brake shoes. Pop in or out easily and the rounded surface lets the hose slide around it.
