Tire spreader and rim cleaning stand.

On the one picture is a manual tire changer which I have put a plastic cup from a balancer onto the post.
I just set the rim onto the cup and the plastic allows me to turn the rim so that that it does not get scratched while cleaning rusty beads.
Next picture is a home made tire spreader. It just drops onto the manual tire changer shaft.
The brake rotor welded to the bottom can be clamped into the clamps of my coates tire changer.

I was thinking of making a tire spreader but last time I reversed the jaws on a one hand wood clamp(so they spread rather than clamp) and two of them spread the tire very nice.
