Titanium Ring making tool

Here is a new article on my Web site explaining how I make titanium rings and also titanium/wood rings.

I need to thank particularly Brian alias Bstanga , here on HMT, for his great series about turning that crazy (but rewarding) stuff that is Titanium.

I also discussed with a French colleague who showed me a similar method for cutting the ring without using an HSS drill, but using a purposely made carbide tool.
The tool is used to dig into the end of the stock for cutting the inner part of the ring, and then the same tool is used to part off the ring.
Of course, as explained by Brian, the key to success is to turn at very very low speed !

On the left, a titanium ring, on the right a bronze ring (used as a pendant)



And this is a mixed wood and titanium ring I made for my wife. It's made out of Red sandal wood, finished with CA.
