Well, that's not good! What if they set something on fire on the other side? It does illustrate very well why you shouldn't do this with any sort of ammo, though. There's no telling where those rounds went, and they're still gonna be deadly (or at least, injurious) when they get where they are going. Cool looking, but dumb in so many ways.

Now, I'm starting to wonder if this is real. If you look at the contact points with the water, there's a splash on each, but they die down really weirdly. And it looks like they may have chopped the video up, too.

Made a full belt of 200 rounds of 'tracer', for a night demo with an M60 on the range, just watching that cone of fire was an eye opener.

Biggest problem was the barrel, it was glowing so hot, it looked like you could see right thru the metal barrel. :-)

When I was a cop, I was back in my hometown visiting with other local deputies I worked with. They got a call of a shooting out in the country and took me with them. Two kids were on opposite sided of the pond. One fired a .22 rifle into the water and it ricocheted upward and struck the guy on the other side in the head and killed him. He was maybe 18-20 years old. Really a stupid thing to do, but consider the probability of it striking the other kid.

Can't account for how some use firearms. I more than just "enjoy" shooting, being involved in so many facets surrounding accurate expenditure of ammunition.
But it never seemed like a toy.

I wholeheartedly agree! I have carried and shot them most all of my life. (28 years as a cop, and 15 years since retirement) Got my first antique given to me by my grandpa as a present when I was 2 or 3 years old. I shot small bore and big bore rifle in competition and pistol as a cop. Still do, reload and tinker with firearms quite a lot.
