I asked my cousin livestock farmer what this would be for, here is her reply:


Awesome. This is for a downed cow. We usually try to load them on a loader but they get skinned up and can be injured. First of all if a cow lays on her side too long, her stomach quits working and will surely die. Plus it happens if they get paralyzed in their back legs and hips because of a difficult calf birth, they again can not get up and again the stomach quits. I imagine this converts in such a way to holding her upright and in time perhaps getting her legs to work again. This would be a cowmans dream but I'm sure it costs a PRETTY penny. We have a belt type thing we have used but its so difficult to keep them up. It somewhat cuts their circulation off. It's quite an old idea. This is cool.

Is there something over the cow's eyes? It looks like a wad of material over the right eye, which seems less than comfortable.

The average speed of a PTO is around 500rpm, that'd do it!
