    That's a wicked sweet machine! But what is that wood going to be used for? Just for testing purposes? Campfires? Pine is pretty low BTU output and massive creosote build up in chimneys / flues. Has to be an outdoor application, right? Does it work on hardwoods?

    I would think that the brush might make a good fire starter if allowed to dry a few months. as you said not the best for firewood, but you burn what you have and deal with more frequent chimney cleanings. The low rotating mass and wide spacing of the knives would not make it the best for hardwoods "IMO only"
    But he may be planning on using the brush for forming hügelkultur mounds
