Tractor Pusher Blade
So, as a quick additional project to my last posting, the Grapple, I converted my pull-behind grader blade to a pusher for the front of the tractor. I really only use this for clearing snow from my drive, which is asphalt and about 1/4 mile long. However, I never liked how the tractor went over the snow first before clearing the snow. This typically left tracks where the tractor packed the snow down.
Once I converted my front loader to a skid steer setup, I realized I could get a 3 pt. hitch plate and mount the blade to the front! The plate I found also has a 2" receiver so I could slide a ball in and move trailers, etc with the tractor front end also.
None of this is a request for snow, btw... ;-)

Unless your drive is really flat you may find that you want a pair of narrow gauge wheels behind the blade If it is un-level side to side then you might want to fix it so it can have free rotation to tilt up or down at the ends. I've seen people try to push snow driving their tractors backwards, that never works well but Y0ou r idea of having it in front is a step in the right direction

My drive is very flat from side to side, and I would rotate the blade to one side or the other to throw the snow off the drive. but I will definitely keep that in mind if and when we have any plowable snow and I encounter problems. Fortunately, we haven't had any here (NE Oklahoma) in several years. Thanks!

Well don't loose hope many times I drove for what seemed like 4 long days in one night trying to get from Big Cabin to Springfield usually it was ice though instead of snow. These goofy weather guessers down here where I'm at are talking possible snow for Christmas. I've gotten rather used to 25° nights and 55° sunny days
