That was one fast moving tow truck driver (At least I HOPE it was the driver getting out!). Wonder what he was doing pulling the thing so far over to the edge of the road?

Looks like he was towing with a long cable and that would mean there was a driver in the tractor trailer?

Does anyone ever wonder why there always seems to be someone making a video of everything now days?
I mean Hey look there is tractor trailer rig up front being towed by a tow truck and a cable I think I'll make a video of it maybe it will fall over the edge.
If it were a dash cam filming then how did he get the scenes over the edge and down the slope?
Never try to tell me it can't be done

A lot of companies do it for insurance reasons... I wouldn't show the insurance company this video...

    Found more. 1:20 source vid:

Both vehicles had drivers in them; both lived. The guy in the tractor-trailer tumbled down the cliff and broke some bones, and obviously the tow truck driver Indiana Jones'd it out in time. Winter drivers: get ready to knowingly tut-tut -- the tractor-trailer driver was riding on summer tires.

All the more is the reason why there are tire chain laws. Got caught in a snow storm on Snoqualmie pass one winter had to chain up the drive tires 1 steering tire and 1 axle on the trailer. As much as I always hatted to have to chain up it was better than having to wait all night or longer with a storm just getting worst by the minute.

Going down the back side into Lee Vining must'a been a thrill, even with chains...that's a 10% grade if I remember correctly. Or were you coming from 395. Either way a panty buncher in the snow. Hats of Frank!
