    That's one lucky SOB! Quick thinking on the excavator operator's part likely saved his life. That concrete wall would have crushed him! Cave-ins is why (legal) trenching requires the use of trench boxes. There are too many unknown variables that could cause a rapid cave-in. Being buried alive would be horrible!

    Have to admit, I miss read the title. Thought it said "trench digging attachment"

    Scares me when I think back to working in deep trenches in the 70's and 80's!!!!
