I did one of those too a couple years ago: Wood Destruction by a Woodscrub: Harbor Freight 4" x 36" Belt / 6" Disk Sander 97181 - Woodscrub's Mods
I was given a HF 4 x 36 belt sander and now I know why it will not track properly. Later I upgraded to the 6 x 48 for larger work. Good info sir.
It looks like they dropped the motor in the factory and bent the shaft.
Nice job of taking a preassembled kit and repairing it!
I know there is a lot of effort to film and edit, thanks for sharing.
