You'd be surprised. It's standard industry practice to wash a surprising amount of high voltage equipment while energized.

Now you have managed to put questions in my head and my head is already crowded enough with real and false stuff.
I have always been led to believe that low resistance meant high conductivity, IE an electrical pathway.
While high r3estance meant a poor electrical pathway. Or maybe sitting here watching sheets of ice fall out of the sky knowing the power will probably go out some time to night has my thinking upside down. I get that way more often as times goes on.
