My wife says to tell you that your people need to get the Russian people on your side, as well. Treat the POW's you take well, and get their families on your side. Persuade them to remove Putin and their invading forces. Your folks have much in common with them, even though you are also very different. USE those commonalities.

If they're going to do that, they need to do it enough that the body doesn't come back to the surface when they dump it in the river.
