You know, before she starts hollering....

I'll bet the handwheel connects to a gate valve, top might have some kind of seal, and composting occurs elsewhere. Pretty sure methane isn't a welcome addition to mine atmosphere.
Being a two holer, you could comment to your adjacent workmate; Nice seats! Aren't you glad they invented flathead screws?
Yep sometimes when you got to go you really got to go.
Once when I was about 16 taking my morning constitutional in our 2 holer outhouse a visiting Aunt burst in and flopped down on the adjacent hole Saying sorry but I just couldn't wait.
My cousins later made jokes about what could I have been doing in there with their mom
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

I reckon the hand wheel is a multi task one. Emptying the compost, & For holding on when there are great explosions in the mine... & for when there are tremmors from explosions and the dunny carts brakes fail.
My dad told me of a friend with a motor bike who ran into the back of a night soil truck in the middle of the night and was hospitalised for days.True story!

He must have been deep in ..it. Reminds me of the Decameron.

cheers & off to lunch ...later.
