Cool mechanical solution, making ~60 odd feet [6 or 7 strands] in 30 seconds. Note operator end is bound together with twisted wire, bailing wire style. Talk about spur of the moment creativity!
Ok, but where on this earth is a place with facilities to build such a machine that hasn't welding rod? They'll salvage high grade wire, how will they generate suitable coating? Not to mention wire is probably contaminated with grease. Even lowly 6013 is plenty strong applied properly, to a well designed weldment.
So, I'll re-ask what neilbourjaily inquires; "But why?"
