Unusual cable cross-section - GIF

This a a huge cable. I doubt it would be used bare like that. It has to be part of a more complete cable system. Perhaps something like this.

I tried to imagine how large that cable is. When I hold my hand like that, I get about 2.5" or about 63mm

The largest cable on this chart is about 1.4" or 36mm
