Here's a fun one... New elevators have optical door obstacle sensors instead of mechanical switches. There are multiple videos of people carrying in invisible-to-optical-sensor glass desk tops or wall panels, the elevator closes, and the moving car smashes the piece to a bazillion fragments. :)
