Don't know which would be more tiring by the end of the day. wearing a hoover on your back and holding onto the handle keeping your hands and arms in nearly the same relative position or just bending down and carrying the darn pavers.
I like the concept but not the handle design. The straight round handles don't give you much placement control. It seems if they were angled up at about 20°from vertical with a 15°outward tilt the lifting would be more comfortable on the hand's wrists and elbows. Adding a waist belt with an adjustable stand off to hold the device away from the body would help to relieve even more stress on muscles being locked in position all day.
Never try to tell me it can't be done

I can see how this tool would be very handy, and definitely better than just placing them by hand. I've done that, and its hard the on the fingers that are trying to place the brick as close as possible to the next bring, and you end up hinging it into place which also upsets the sand layer. And hard on the knees and back as you crawl along placing bricks, and constantly bending over and standing up.
Being able to place the brick straight down would be very nice! So to me this tool has a lot of advantages over the purely manual method. While it could probably use some refinement or adjustment on handle placement, it's on the right track for being much better.
