    There's some "algae" but that looks like fine dust or volcanic ash. I've never seen that just from flocking except at :43 sec, that looks like what settles after a floculent treatment. I see a whole new filter changeout after that one! you could backwash and rinse for an hour and not clear the filter. That's a LOT of sediment.

    Could be that they bypassed the filter and sent it directly to the sewer. I'm pretty sure that would be how I would have done it if I still had a pool.

    That sure is a dirty pool.

    I am voting for some alge with LOTS of dust from something; wildfire, volcano, something. It is too evenly spread around. Algee would be more concentrated in areas that always have sun, less so on the shady side of the pool.
