Variable power supply

Has anyone made a variable power supply for use in home electroplating ?

I have used a power supply purchased from E-bay for that purpose. You can find several types, but I would go with one having an adjustable current. Search for:
30V 10A Adjustable Digital DC Voltage Stabilizer Regulator Power Supply
for example. Some models are available for around $50-$60.
