What's so special about this saw versus any other radial saw?
I had an old Craftsmen 10" that had all of those functions I'm sure.
this photo looks a lot like the one I had only mine was much older

The head on my 1960s DeWalt radial saw rotates on two axis as well. The whole upper unit also rotates about the column.

Yep the original compound miter saw. could also use as a rip saw like a table saw. IMO much more versatile than a table saw, especially when making dado cuts

I even had router, shaper & planer attachments for my RA saw. 12" Craftsman from about 1980. Amazing machine in a small space.

Agreeing with Frank S, sossol, & Inflight; there is nothing revolutionary presented in the GIF; in fact it's not a quarter of full radial arm saw capabilities.
But marketing wise radial arm saws are in the back seat now, ever since tilting, compound and combination sliding miter saws. None nearly as universal; compared to radial arm saws.
However, while OSHA and consumer-protection groups are happier, the ambulance chaser (transporting Darwin Award patients) injury lawyers are not.
    Sincerely,

You can still get $200.00 rebate if you dismantle that Craftsman saw and send in the motor.

    I still have mine.
