Vibratory bowls really advantageous in production lines. Just about any bucket of homogeneous pieces can be oriented for next operation, typically feeding insertion devices. Furniture button studs, rivets, caps and plugs, nut-serts and PEMs, even electrical components. Yes, rather counter-intuitive that vibration makes things climb, weight and friction in bowl is greater than resistance to those exiting the top.
The bowls vary by capacity, rate of incline and are adjusted to modulate vibration amount and speed, most often just an eccentric weight and variable speed motor. Crest of bowl and ramp finalizes it, by what direction is needed.
Point of apparatus in GIF unclear; all that mechanization just to kick them in a box, though could just be test before remainder is attached. Not an efficient method to calculate quantity, though determines attainable feed rate/s/.
