Interesting footwear. Possibly just a thread of yarn better than the footwear in the Indian videos?

Darned if that doesn't look like a Cincinnati Dial Type Mill machining aluminum. Check the logo on the front of the overarm and a few of the lever locations. Could this fellow have been making airplane parts on an American machine to destroy Americans??

I've read that Warner and Swasey, Pratt & Whitney, Cincinnati, etc. were the favorite machine tools of the Germans and Japanese at the time. They were widely exported before the war, so you may be right.

"Cigar box factory workers. Tampa, Florida. January, 1909."

There was a box factory here in Minster, Ohio that operated until the 1960s. My mother worked there during WW2 when they transitioned from cigar boxes to packaging for the war effort. Cigar boxes were made through the 60s and everyone in town had those boxes all over the house holding pencils, etc. As I'm typing this, there are 4 El Trelles Caoronas cigar boxes in the cabinet above my computer, holding small items.
