Back in the 60's & 70's we used to think the high apes were cool but after you have hung your arms over a pair for a few hundred miles at a time you soon learn that a hard day's ride means someone else has to hold your beer for you so you can drink it because your arms refuse to function. Just below eye level maybe, but a foot above your head forget it.
