Seriously? Dig a hole close to the water source. What seeps into the hole through the ground is much safer. A few drops of chlorine bleach, 4 to 6 drops per gallon and you have water that will not kill you. Might not smell wonderful, but it will be totally drinkable. If you need quantity you make a sand filter. It to is simple and is very effective at purifying water.
