My grandfather made wooden hooped nets with nylon twine24” and 36” diameter 12’ long. He paid me $1 each to knit one, then he would put in the hoops. This was back when I was 13-14 years ol, 76 now. He would sell them to commercial fishermen at Ky dam, $15 for the 24”, $18 for 36”. He passed away in 1967 the year I was discharged from the Navy. My daughter has one hanging in her house.
