    Wedges Chuck Puller

A simple and easy build that helps when needed to change my chuck safely.
Isn't something complicated but can do the job good enough and without any damage to chuck or to cone.
Made it from a piece of flat bar 80x5mm.

According to your drill choke cone dia
do a hole at the center of each piece onto the marked line
about 0.50~1.00mm bigger than the cone dia.

Use a combination of appropriated drill bits
and make the two holes at the desirable dia.
    e.g.: Ø6, 10, 13 & 16.5 mm for a Ø16mm cone.

    Remove/cut the marked areas
and then separate the two pieces from flat bar.

Using an angle grinder make each end wedge.

Nicely done! I’ve often used folding wedges to dismantle motors, and found it helpful to have a variety of diameters. Some are made from cleavers. But don’t you have a wedge to go through the quill? Normally they come with the machine.

    Hi Philip,

Unfortunly the price it was very cheap with no extra tools exept the chock key.
But I have seen many times people who try to remove the chuck hitting by hammer.
