Now that is remarkable viewpoint of arc welding. I imagine the pulses are reaction to alternating current?

(Looks more like MIG wire welding to me.)

Yes, you can see the constant wire feeding.

I wish that I had a camera that could do that. I have a dozen uses waiting for one.

I think the pulsing caused by the time it takes for a "drop" of the filler metal to melt off of the wire. Looks like 2-3 "drips" in the 4 second clip. I am wondering the true time lapse of that segment. It would so awesome to have that kind if video capability.
