That's a fact. I've seen tool boxes with a good number of tools go for literally pennies on the dollar. Often, when a spouse passes on the widow will just want to get rid of her husband's tools and will take next to nothing for them, though I tend to offer fair value because it's right.

I wound up with an old lathe and a mill that way the lady just wanted them out of her garage and wouldn't take any money for them I loaded up at least 3000 lbs of machine able scrap steel as well but her husband had passed on several years prior.
