What I see is resizing of the diameter I was waiting to see how you widen a ring.
My first wife bought me a 2 kt diamond cluster ring but it was and 18 I needed a 22 just to get over my knuckle. The band was so thin that is snapped before reaching 20 so I had the guy add nearly half the original weight of the ring to fill in the hollow back and widen the band. No idea what she paid for the stupid bauble, but I spent 800 just to be able to put it on my finger then I hardly ever wore it. since it was in my way. One day we were going somewhere and stopped to help a stranded motorist I forgot to take it off got it caught on something, ripped it off my hand and threw it as far as i could throw it, told her she just had to waste money go to the bank and draw out a pack of bills then throw then in a fire. Don't think she apricated my attitude, that was over 40 years ago been with 2nd wife for 35 years now.
