Man...an elderly friend of mine had one of those in .348, from 1927. I got to shoot two rounds from it. The action was like a combo of a bank vault and a Swiss watch. Hadn't been fired in 30 years, and at 204 yards with iron sights, I rang the steel twice. Unfortunately, his wife sold it before I even knew he was dead.
