    Wood Lathe tool holder

This is another project inspired in a woodworking tools catalog (this time from Rocker), and was made in may-2014.

The tray was made in pine wood, and painted with black lacquer; the steel pivot arm was made by reusing a bucket handle, and the clamp is a discarded lamp clamp, with a polyethylene bushing.

The tray is 30 cm Ø, and has 16 holes to hold the most frequently used woodturning tools. The center platform is useful to place lathe accessories, calipers, sandpapers, finishing products, etc. The support swivels in the clamp, in order to bring the holder near work, or to take it out of the way when not in use, and the tray turns in order to choose the tool to use.

    Hi Morsa,
Just to say that by the time being, I don't have much time for posting new stuff here, but I keep an eye on the daily mail from Jon and I must say that I am always delighted to see your woodworking posts , they are all wonderfull !

    Keep posting !
(I feel the woodworkers are becoming a minority here, please woodworkers ! feel free to show up your stuff !)

    Cheers, and happy Halloween day,

Really nice idea Morsa and love the way you re-purposed things for it! As an absolute newbie to woodworking I too appreciate all the things you've brought forward for us here! I may have to borrow some of this for a scroll saw blade holder I've been thinking about. ~¿@ Thanks for sharing! ~PJ

Thanks, Christophe, I profoundly appreciate your words.
I know and I follow this website long before I decided to participate actively, mostly because of the language. I also know that most of the topics here are about metalworking and, although I'm interested on this kind of work, definitely I do more woodworking.

Thanks for your kind words, PJs.
If you allow me, in this Pinterest board (https://es.pinterest.com/morsa00/ww-...aw-scroll-saw/), there are some ideas for scroll saw blade holders, I hope that will be useful.

Yes, of course. I'm from León, Guanajuato, México. I'm a pediatrician, so metalwork and woodwork are just some of my hobbies.

Thanks for the link Morsa. Have pin your chisel holder to my woodworking board so I can show my friend who does a lot of turning. I've seen most of those ideas previously on Pinterest, but really like your idea of a lazy susan that I could secure to the saw some how and be able to swivel them out of the way. I have a bunch of small diameter PVC from something that could be used with labels in the lazy susan. I still have a lot to learn about blades and which to use when...and making smooth cuts. Here is a pic of my first finished piece...not great but its a start. Practice, Practice, Practice. Thanks for sharing your innovative ideas. ~PJ

That is a beautiful work, PJs. I've never done something like that; I guess a lot of patience is required.
Hope to see that blade holder
