In cadaver lab you can tell the old farmers by the thickening of the bone at the attachment of muscle. Workout warriors don't have the farmers' degree of bone thickening.

Yup, we're looking at a retirement fund worth of lumber in that video right there. A sheet of OSB is what, like $80 now or something stupid? I don't even want to check to see if I'm lying or not. It's just disgusting.

and the huricanes a few years ago made free wood for the osb &plywood makers/mills...massive amounts of tree farms all mowed down by huricane mike on the gulf coast on up through alabama&georiga and farther. these thieving lumber sellers&mills are just using the virus for a reason to price gouge, and nothing is being done about it at all.

Yup, but it's much worse than just one hurricane. In addition to the hurricane there's a massive oversupply in logs from woodlot owners, so they haven't seen prices move at all. Just before the pandemic the price of board wasn't great, so a bunch of the big OSB and plywood manufacturers shut down a bunch of their mills. Then the pandemic hit and everybody started building. That caused a massive bottleneck at the mill level, which means they're just rolling in money right now. Their raw material cost hasn't changed at all, but the finished price is up like 800% or something. It's just crazy.

If I am going to expend that much energy I want something tangible in return. New shingles on the roof, new fence line built, trees planted, or a garden where all the weeds have been hoed. "working out" is just a waste of energy if you don't accomplish anything. This guy proved you don't need a factory made workout machine. Dig a few post holes by hand and carry the posts uphill to the holes and you have proved you don't need a machine at all.
