    Wrench Gauge

I don't do enough wrenching to be able to pick the right wrench first time. With this simple little gauge I get only the wrenches I need US or Metric without bringing every tool I own to the project.

I made my version from a single piece of aluminum; see the result in the upper left of my "Pocket Tools" post...

Each recess is made as deep as it is wide which permits the tool to be used as a depth gauge as well. Drilling and tapping a few common thread holes into the body would add to its utility as a thread gauge (but I already have several previously made).

They look like nice gauges, but, I don't see how they get into tight spaces and recesses.

I use a small 75mm/ 3" caliper first then get the spanner.
