This is a very unique build that most of us could attempt to make in our shops using materials at hand. I like your powertrain using an old corded powerdrill.

Yup it should be do-able for everybody. Main reason for building this is also that these are rarely available her in Norway, and if you get them, they are waaaay to expensive.
