1906 pedaled roller skates - photo and patent

Captioned as Edvard Petrini's pedaled roller skates. Looks like fun, and I'll bet this dapper young gentleman was quite the lady killer 100 years ago.

I can see a modern version of this idea using plastics and Torrington clutch bearings hitting our pavements soon.

You see a young man on roller skates. I see a young man standing on two mini bikes.

It's like the rollerskates-to-skateboard or skis-to-snowboard development, but in reverse.

I always had enough trouble trying to roll on quad skates didn't do too bad on inline since they acted similar to ice skates

If I was a youngin I'd try them out but today I'd call 911 first. They do look like fun.

I hear what you are saying, I was never any good on quads, About the only way I cold make it all the way around the skating rink without taking several tumbles was if a couple of girls held on to me and helped me make it around the rink. That may have been more put on than anything else but there always seemed to be at least a couple cute girls willing to hold my hands around the rink. When the inline skates came out I didn't do too poorly on them the couple times I tried them but couldn't skate board to save my life
