A few new parts made so far, this is a plain bearing engine so new bronze main and big end bearings, new nitrided crank pin, new oversize gudgeon pins pistons reamed to fit.
Gearbox reconditioned (bent main shaft straightened) and new bearings and output garter seal added. Crank case and gearbox has been welded to build up missing metal, the heads are held on by a stirrup which had broken out,(the heads were wedged in place with hardwood against the frame) this was done by an old friend Bill Bowdage from Exeter (now retired) who did a great job. New magneto bearings. Original wheels trued and missing spokes replaced, fitted with modern sealed bearings.
Oil grooves since have been machined in.
