This is the wonderful fridge,I'd buy it without any long thinking. The devces of that time were much more relieble and were made for a really long life. Its done by real engeneers, not by managers.

That price tag of $497 in 1963 equals about $5K today.

Our fridge (probably similar or the same to everyone else on this forum's fridge) works just fine, but it seems like the drawers and shelves have been designed with planned obsolescence in mind. They crack and break easily, and what a surprise, the replacements are exorbitantly priced.

That's right,Jon,we've got the same problem in Russia,Liebherr fridge.I've replaced the doors handles because of a total plastic collaps. It is the real agreement of the damn manufacturers.

I'm amazed that there appears to be some warehouse full of preserved and/or restored kitchen appliances.

This is the Jetsons future I was promised. I want to put linear rails on the shelving in my fridge now.
