We had a very early Amanda Range microwave “hand-me-down” from the in-laws which was a veritable beast and hernia risk when moving it. For all its robust design it was still hampered by a pretty small volume. I can’t remember what we did with it, but it’s probably still out there, still working away for someone.![]()

The Litton microwave my wife and I got as a wedding gift in 1973 is still going strong, no issues in 53 years. Weighs a ton, but reliable, was a commercial duty one intended for restaurants, my in laws owned a construction company, they gave it to us.
