    Ahnighito meteorite - GIF

    The Ahnighito meteorite is a 31-ton fragment of the 58-ton Cape York meteorite that fell in Greenland 10,000 years ago. Inuit living near the meteorites used them as a source of metal for tools and harpoons.

    Along this line, this may be the newest meteorite. A 2.2 pound (1Kg) meteorite crashed through the roof into a home in New Jersey this week.
