I'll disagree some on their mechanical ability (not cars of course), the variety of Amish sects is a factor too. My 5 trips to HGR Industrial Surplus in Euclid OH, I've met Amish every time. They are wizards converting motor powered machine tools, conforming to their standard.
From the GIF's audio, I detect unmistakable rhythm of a hit or miss engine. I know they approve those. The flyweight governor (not G. Newsom, lol) confirms it.
Here (there technically) in Western Missouri are various Amish and Mennonite communities. One provided manpower to de-construct my building roof, collecting and reusing all the materials was the labor charge; a friendly, interesting crew to meet. There are communities open to public, with lots of commercial enterprise. They prepare terrific food, fine woodwork and zero nonsense. Kind of admire ability to segregate themselves without shutting off the outside, and no genuine faults in their work ethic.

But agree, visualizing draft horse duct taped to John Deere is amusing. That raises point, a rural favorite pastime are the steam and primitive power fairs all over the midwest; I see what have to be members of that type group often. Obviously have broader acceptance than 'we' are aware of.
