Well the video is a bit far away for a good view but is you look in the very beginning you can see the cleaned chain above and by the 19 second msrk you can see the crud being blasted away pretty clearly.
No clue as to how they attached it I would guess that it is hinged in 2 halves and is suspended in one spot while the chain is slowly retrieved through it
