It's nice to know only serious research is going on.

Notice he didn't have any problem rotating.
as long as you are in an atmosphere Gently coil yourself into a ball and slowly raise your arms above your head then violently kick out with your feet while pulling your arms to your sides as quickly as possible then don't move any part of your body if you experienced any forward movement if not Rince and repeat.

If we're dumb enough to send humans to Mars, those folks are going to be living together in a small tin can for about eight months. They will need to be very inventive about entertaining themselves.

Actually, I think the human interaction dynamics on such a trip is the biggest obstacle to ever getting humans there. And, even if they survive a trip there, they'll have to look forward to another eight months in a smaller can to return.

The current human species occupying this planet is not now nor will it ever be the most intelligent beings that have populated this wet rock we call the Earth. Aside from that we are a curious species by nature. The optimal launch window from the earth to mars has been calculated to only occur once every 26 months There are shorter time periods which only occur several years apart. If humans ever actually go to mars the round trip is going to be more like 34 months from the launch leaving earth until landing back on earth. I don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't want to spend 34 months sealed up in something even as large as my house with my own wife let alone with 4 to 6 others.
