They could have also done a better job of philosophically integrating science and religion, such that an anti-science position doesn't gain strength. Even something like: "God created the universe, using science" would be an extraordinary improvement that both religious and non-religious people could live with.

Man on the moon Is a question of best practice, In 1969 ships still ran on steam, jet engines were in there infancy in fact we had only just developed fusion. How can any engineer in all honesty state that we had the technology to send a man into space and land whilst having the technology to re launch from the moon when there was no data, knowledge of the moons environment or experience in which to base this tech on. The Russians had launched over 300 rockets and killed as many crews. If the moon landing took place then they were bloody lucky or bloody stupid. Why do we not go back anymore, some believe that aliens told the moon landing party to never return or else. I'm not saying they were not mad enough to try - just to beat the Russians. The UK space centre at Spadeadam in Cumbria was where Britain built Blue Streak aka Ariane rocket http://www.armaghplanet.com/blog/blue-streak-uks-cold-war-rocket.html I live 1/2 a mile from a museum which houses parts of the Blue Streak and 10 miles from RAF Spadeadam, now a military low flying training area. Just think we Brits could have beat the US to the moon.

We have some interesting theories, here is one about denouncing that plastic rice is made in China.

Interestingly, Here in Aus we have lost many dogs and some cats from plastic in their processed food. The reason being that the tags from cows get ground up instead of removal before processing.

Go figure is the modern cliche that comes to mind.
