At the 5 second mark the scene is spliced. When he opens it up at the 10 second mark there is an uncut bottom plate, or the floor of the structure.

If the cuts were made with the blade vertical then the pieces would have come completely apart.

I think the finished product, with the floor and whatever stops to keep the pieces together, was inserted at the 5 second mark.

Also notice that each level has distinctive windows.

Still cool to see.

Agreed! I saw the plate too and inched through the frames. Something is spliced in @ ~5sec...it's a different size piece at ~6sec.
