A nice quality trimming job. I like it. I do things the same way when I have to trim a house. It takes time. But the results are really respectable. The corner clamp trick I will use! Thanks for sharing. I would use tape before. Almost as good. The benefit is that it leaves no marks.
Those are called miter clamps by Collins Tool. I have a number of them and they are great for certain jobs.

They excel on really acute miters.
